Melissa Murphy, MBA - Chief Operating Officer
Melissa began her journey with Wagner & Associates as an intern in March 2020. She transitioned to a full-time Staff Accountant role in 2022 after earning both her MBA and Bachelor of Science in Business Administration (minor in Accounting) from Cairn University. In October 2024, Melissa was promoted to Chief Operating Officer.
As COO, Melissa oversees the firm’s internal operations, streamlines processes, and drives efficiency across the team. She manages accounting for multiple monthly clients, leads monthly onboarding and communication efforts, and supports the CPAs with high-level tax preparation work. Melissa also provides QuickBooks® Online (QBO) training services, empowering clients to better manage their finances.
Melissa was recently married and enjoys serving at church alongside her husband during her time outside of work. One of her favorite parts about working at Wagner & Associates is helping clients gain peace of mind, knowing their accounting is handled accurately and professionally.
